          SouthcoastHospitals Group, which includes Charlton Memorial Hospital, St. Luke’sHospital, and Tobey Hospital, has been named a Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News & World Report.The system is ranked #8 in Massachusetts and #2 in the Providence R.I. metroregion.

          BestRegional Hospitals are hospitals that offer a full array of services with highperforming ratings in specialties, procedures and conditions. SouthcoastHospitals Group scored high performing ratings in the adult specialty, urology,in colon cancer surgery, and in the treatment of Chronic Obstructive PulmonaryDisorder (COPD) and heart failure. 

          Out of the 98 Massachusettsinpatient, long term acute care and rehabilitation hospitals considered by USNews & World Report only 9 made the Best Regional Hospital list placingSouthcoast Hospitals Group in the top 10 percent for Massachusetts hospitalsand top 13 percent in the nation. Forthe 2019-20 rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medicalcenters nationwide in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions. Only 569hospitals across the US made the list of Best Regional Hospitals.
